Penn Branch Outlet products have been designed per MSS-SP-97 and ASME Code B31.1 and ASME-B31.3. The main design principles behind Penn Machine's Outlets are to ASME-B31.3 Paragraphs 304.7.2 and 306.1.3. Penn Machine has taken our Branch Connection fittings and burst tested them to Paragragh 306.1.3 essential proving that our proprietary design works by having a failure in the header or branch pipe and NOT on the Penn Outlet in the fabricated piping assembly. The product is then subjected to Paragraph 304.7.2 and undergoes an extensive design simulation using Finite Element Analysis (FEA)to assure that the required allowable stress limits are met and exceeded on a Penn Outlet. | ||||||||
Once the Outlet product is designed and tested for that design, Penn Machine uses Statistical Process Control (S.P.C.) in the manufacturing of Branch Connection fittings to assure that the design is replicated every time the product is manufactured. By control of the product and process, Penn Machine assures that the design is reliable fitting to fitting for all dimesional characteristics. |

Once the product has been designed, tested, and manufactured - Penn Machine assures that the product which has been ordered in Stainless Steel and Alloy Material has been 100 percent Positive Material Identified (PMI) according to ASTM-E1916, PFI Standard ES-42, and API PRACTICE 578. It is our responsibility to assure 100 percent of the time that the product leaving from our facility is the correct material grade. No fabricator can sacrifice safety of potentially receiving a material grade mix-up which can be catastrophic. Penn Machine brings our end-users this service on each and every Stainless Steel and Alloy product 100 percent of the time and no extra cost. |
